OCTOBER 2010 NEWSLETTER - Verizon Wireless, Rule the Air.
Donate a Phone to HopeLine®
You can donate phones, batteries and accessories in any condition from any carrier at any Verizon Wireless Communications Store or by mail. They're either refurbished for sale or disposed of in an environmentally sound way. Since 2001, proceeds have funded $7.9 million in cash grants, funding local shelters, education programs, support services and local outreach. And more than 90,000 phones with upwards of 300 million free wireless minutes have been donated to domestic violence victims, allowing them to call for help and maintain contact with family, counselors, employers and landlords as they rebuild their lives.
Read Case Studies to see how local domestic violence organizations are using the donated phones to
serve their clients.
Organize a HopeLine Drive
It's easy to host a phone collection drive through your school, place of worship or community organization. See Phone Collections Tips & Suggestions to learn what you can do to get started.
